Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: October 11, 2026

Security Dogma is free to read. To keep it that way, some pages include affiliate links. This page explains what that means and how it affects you.

What affiliate links are

An affiliate link is a link to a product on another website, such as Amazon, that includes a tracking code. If you click it and make a purchase, the retailer may pay Security Dogma a small commission. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or not.

Amazon Associates

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Security Dogma is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

Other affiliate programs

Security Dogma may also participate in affiliate programs run by other retailers, brands and training providers. The same rules apply to all of them.

How this affects recommendations

  • Products are chosen for how well they do the job, based on research, specifications, field experience and honest testing where possible.
  • Commissions never decide which products are recommended, how they are ranked, or what we say about them.
  • We point out downsides and who should skip a product, even when it is an affiliate link.
  • No company pays to be included or ranked on Security Dogma.

Where you’ll see affiliate links

Mainly in gear guides and comparison tables, and in buttons such as “Check price on Amazon”. Pages with affiliate links show a short disclosure near the top.

Our own products

Security Dogma may also sell its own digital products, such as templates and study guides. When a recommendation is for our own product, we will say so clearly.
